This was a fun room to work on. I loved picking out the artwork for the walls. Various artists from that were popular in the thirties.
The coffee table was a splurge at the last miniature show I attended. It is from the amazing Peter Tucker. It was very hard to pick just one thing from his work.
I am not very patient when it comes to measuring as you can see from the cockeyed molding!
The molding was inspired (or should I say copied) by the grand hall in New Upstairs Downstairs Series...
I love the bar cart with it's mini working casters! I ordered the Reutter whiskey serving set from New England miniatures to round out what I already had. (The soda water bottle is much better than the one I tried to make!)
Mini invitations for the very popular Eveline...
There is always a party in progress at Lyons House...
Es un salón precioso!

This is great! I love how everything came together to work as one! I wouldn't have noticed the crooked molding if you hadn't have said anything! -ara

Muy bien recreada la elegancia de esa epoca. Me gusta mucho.
ReplyDeleteHeather, your room is simply gorgeous! You captured the era perfectly and it seems we (your fans)are all in agreement that any minor flaws in your molding should remain 'hush-hush.' You have inspired me to do a 1930's house, too! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHello Heather!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan! I love this 30's "Glam House" you are doing......and John is right, you have captured beautifully the feel of the era. Each room so perfectly detailed. Congratulations on a wonderful project that is a delight to see.
Warm wishes to you from Ray
