Caterina's Holiday Swap

For the second time I participated in Caterina's Holiday Swap.  I received my swap gift from Antonia at Minicositas.  She makes beautiful food and these treats are no exception.  Thank you Antonia!

My swap gift went to Eliana of Terros dos Gigantes:

Thank you Caterina for organizing!

Caterina's Summer Holiday Swap

This summer I participated in Caterina's Summer Holiday Swap! I love swaps with themes. They challenge me to make things I haven't made before. It was lots of fun!

For Teruka, I did a surfer girl theme:

From Natalia of Scarlet Sails Miniatures I received:
She does such beautiful work (check out the slippers on her blog!)  The shoes and picture have found a place in the Daydream cottage.  The vanity tray will sit on the 1930's vanity when the house is finished. Thank you Natalia!

Speaking of Caterina, in the spring I asked her to make me a copy of her "Peter & Wendy" book.  (Both our sons were in productions of Peter Pan last spring.)  It is so cute and detailed.  I love it. Thank you Caterina!

Christmas Swap: What I made...

This is what I made for Maria Narbon during Caterina's International Holiday Swap!

A FALL wreath.

A Christmas Hutch.  Started with a Michael's hutch and added to it.  I used Carolyn's Little Kitchen Tutorial on waterslide decals to make the plates (the pictures are the first three days of Christmas).  The jug is from Marlies Minies. The Candy Canes and Santa Mug are from MiniKitz.

This is a little pull toy.  I left this for the last minute so it was kind of rushed.  I used the same decals that I used for the plates earlier.  This swap was a lot of fun.  Can't wait to do another!

Christmas has come and I finally got to open my International Swap gift from MiniMumm:

Such wonderful little treasures!

She even included some little gifts for my two boys:

So very thoughtful.  Thank you MiniMumm from my boys and me!
Thanks Caterina for organizing such a fun swap!

Another First - International Holiday Swap!

Another first for me.  A Holiday Swap organized by the wonderful Cockerina!  I will be receiving from Nina at Minnimumm.  I was very lucky to be her 100 follower back in July.  So I already know what wonderful things she can produce!  I'm will be sending to Maria Narbon who has been making incredible dolls for many years.  (Maria, send your address to me at heathermac314@yahoo.com)

We are to provide:
A Christmas Mini, a toy mini and choice of something for fall/Halloween!

I must say, I'm a little nervous about what I may produce.  But I must remember that this is supposed to be fun and not stress about it too much.

We've been instructed to wait until Christmas morning to open the parcels!  It will just like being a kid all over again.

Thanks Cockerina for organizing!
